I'm hearing the S1000 is a thirsty engine and only gets around 30mpg---so only about 150 range per tank. True? If so, I'll have to pony-up the extra cash to go with a 2022 KTM 1290 Super Adventure S when it comes out next year with it's 6 gallon tank and comes in at 40mpg. I want a bike to have fun in the canyons and that can tour too.
